Celebrating Summer with the Scent of Radiance

Did you know that from one small container of wax, you can relax, sleep better, help those in need, elicit fond memories and improve your mood all at once? “What's in the container?”, you may ask. It’s a beautiful candle! I’m so excited to announce that WOC is in the process of making its first, signature candle, available this summer!

So often during these trying times, through an unprecedented quarantine and its remaining anxieties, the stress of the day could be just overwhelming. With email and messaging right at our fingertips at all times, it’s become increasingly difficult to decompress and find time just for yourself. The old saying rings true, that one cannot pour from an empty cup. When you spend your days striving to fulfill your company’s mission of helping others, and working to empower women of color during a time of great strides and optimism, yet still met by continued inequity and challenges, it can sometimes be difficult to find calm. What has always worked for me is changing my atmosphere, by changing the scent of my abode.

What I wanted to accomplish with our new WOC Radiant candle, was to create the sense of escape from the norm and experience ultimate relaxation, so we can all regain our sense of self, and be prepared to charge ahead to the next endeavor.

Our Radiant candle blend is a perfect, summery scent, meant to lift your independent spirit and celebrate your beauty and strength. Imagine freshly sliced mango and creamy coconut milk with notes of almond blended together for a fresh, sorbet-like aroma. It’s the shining sun, warmth and welcome of a tropical beach, but in the convenience of your own home.

The best part about this candle is it is a paraffin and soy blend, hand-poured right in NYC and 10% of total sales will be given to the Foundation for Post Conflict Development and Water Mission.
